What is a Bookmarklet?

Bookmarklets (Buttons) are links you add to your browser's Bookmarks Toolbar. They are an easy way to post and view your news links here. Only Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Opera are supported here.

Firefox

  1. Make sure the "Bookmarks Toolbar" is visible. If it is not, go to menu View > Toolbars.
  2. Drag this link: Save to here. up to your Bookmarks Toolbar.

Safari

  1. Make sure the "Bookmarks Bar" is visible. If it is not, go to the menu View > Show Bookmarks Bar
  2. Drag this link: Save to here. up to your Bookmarks Toolbar.

Internet Explorer

  1. Make sure your "Links Toolbar" is visible. If it is not, right click on any part of the menu bar and make sure "Links" is checked.
  2. Drag this link: Save to here. up to your Bookmarks Toolbar.

Google Chrome

  1. Make sure the "Bookmarks Bar" is visible. If it is not, choose "Always show bookmarks bar" from the Tools menu.
  2. Drag this link: Save to here. up to your Bookmarks Toolbar.

Opera

  1. Make sure the "Personal bar" is checked under View > Toolbars.
  2. Drag this link: Save to here. up to your Bookmarks Toolbar.

Google Reader

  1. From the settings menu in Google Reader select Send To.
  2. Click "create a custom link".
  3. Input the following settings:
    Name: here.
    URL: http://heremag.ca/node/add/news?edit[title]=${title}&edit[field_news_link][0][url]=${url}
    Icon URL: http://heremag.ca/favicon.ico
  4. Click Save
